As Aidilfitri lurking in the corner, LITRAK Group once again, had celebrated the jolly Aidilfitri together with underprivileged kids through a charity based programme, “LITRAK Aidilfitri Shopping Spree” which was held yearly since 2009. Entering its 7th consecutive years, this time around, a total of 30 less fortunate kids from Pertubuhan Kebajikan & Bimbingan At-Taqwa, Puchong has been given the opportunity to shop for their Raya outfits, as LITRAK takes on these kids for a shopping spree at Aeon Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya.

Upholding its tradition programme, LITRAK deemed this effort as essential in fulfilling its social obligation towards the community, especially to serve as a joy sharing platform with the kids. LITRAK will spent almost RM200 to each of the kids in order to make sure that they are looking forward to celebrate upcoming Aidilfitri, without being left out in terms of Raya preparations. Total amount of the contributions is approximately RM 12, 000.

“We would want to share the joy of Aidilfitri with the less fortunate for a meaningful Aidilfitri and at the same time, we are trying our best to ease their burdens. We have organized this programme on a yearly basis, and this is our 7th year. Within the past years, since 2009 up until 2014, LITRAK had spent more than RM 10mil for CSR based programme and the efforts will continue”, said LITRAK Group Chief Executive Officer, En Sazally Saidi. There are 5 elements under CSR that LITRAK focused on yearly, which include Festive Toll Discounts, Rebates for LDP’s Frequent Travellers Programme (FTP), Educational & Road Safety Programme, Festive Charity & Donation Programme and Social Events with RAs, Media & Associates.

Happy expressions can be seen from the kids as they excitedly chose their Raya outfits to be donned on the first of Aidilfitri.
