LITRAK Group Aidilfitri Open House 2012

10 Sep 2012

Hari Raya is a time of sharing and one should feel good about being able to celebrate this festive season especially with the underprivileged. Furthermore, no celebration would be complete if the spirit of sharing and caring was absent.

55 orphans from Rumah Nur Kasih Bestari in Segambut Dalam were invited to ‘Majlis Sambutan Aidilfitri LITRAK’ on 10 September where they were also presented with ‘duit raya’ as well as goodie bags at the event in the spirit of Hari Raya.

LITRAK’s signature dish – fish head curry from Kg Attap has again been the trademark for the past eight years. The occasion was organised for staff, management, clients, customers and the community for their support where approximately 1,500 guests thronged the Malay concept food stalls which offered variety of food such as ‘poh piah’, ‘gulai kawah’, ‘rojak’, ‘mee kari’ and a lot more.

From the invitations to goodie bags, LITRAK felt that the best way to enhance the event is to tie it all together with a central theme called ‘Nostalgia Lebaran, Kenangan 50an & 60an’ in conjunction with the 55th National Day. This year around, all staffs were also dressed in costume form the decades of our nation’s independence, past fads and fashions. The decoration team for the event had even decorated the venue with photos and nostalgic instruments from the time period. The flourishing band group, named as ‘Bana Batak Band’ was also entertaining when they performed and made the guests emulated with their lively and cheering songs through out the event.

This remarkable event was graced by guest-of-honour, Malaysian Highway Authority director general; Dato’ Ir Hj Ismail Md Salleh, LITRAK Chairman; Tan Sri Dr Wan Abdul Rahman Wan Yaacob, SPRINT Chairman; Tuan Ir Hj Yusoff Daud and LITRAK Director; Dato’ Ir Hj Azmi Mat Nor.
