In conjunction with the upcoming Aidilfitri this year, Litrak in a special press conference today, has announced attractive “Toll Discount” for both Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) and SPRINT highway users as one of its initiative to further celebrate the joyous Aidilfitri festive season. Both LDP and SPRINT highway users will be able to enjoy a 60 sen and 20 sen discounted toll rate (all class vehicle), respectively starting from 12.01 am to 11.59 pm on the first day of Aidilfitri, 6th of July 2016.

This initiative by Litrak started in 2010 and has been carried out since, in hope that move taken shall benefit its highways users and at the same time, serves as a platform to share the joy of celebrating Aidilfitri in Malaysia, regardless of race and ethnicity. Discounted toll rates were also given during other festive seasons, including, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas and Merdeka day. Since 2010 until 2015, a total of RM 8.6 million toll subsidy has been given to almost 13.1 million LDP and SPRINT users during major festive period.


Speaking to the reporter, En Sazally Bin Saidi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Litrak emphasized that, “This proactive move has been carried out yearly during major festive seasons, whereby we understand the need to travel more to visit friends and family members during festive period. Thus, we hope that through this initiative, we are able to share the joy of celebrating Aidilfitri with our highway users”


It is estimated that almost 492,000 users will benefit from the RM 235,000 toll subsidy at both LDP and SPRINT highway. Previously in 2015, a total of 481,000 users benefited from Litrak RM 229,000 toll subsidy during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.


The toll discount announcement was made by Director General of Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA), Y.Bhg Dato’ Ir Haji Ismail Md Salleh during Majlis Berbuka Puasa Litrak 2016 with Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Bimbingan Baitul Ulfah, Seri Kembangan. 41 children from the home were chosen to be the beneficiary for this year Litrak Ramadhan Charity Program with total expenses of RM 12,000. Donation and “Duit Raya” were given to the kids, and last week, they were taken for a shopping spree where they shop for Raya needs.


Held in the same event, Litrak, also, launched a series of new vehicles for LDP and SPRINT Auxiliary Police Team as part of its long term initiative to provide continuous commitment and ensure highest level of safety towards its valuable highway users.
