LDP – Development
LDP The Catalyst For Development
LDP has spurred development growth and contributed significantly to economic growth. Since the opening of LDP in January 1999, new developments have emerged rapidly.
Since the opening of LDP, 66 new developments with 47 million sq ft of commercial spaces and some 85,000 units of new residential properties have been built around LDP and these numbers continue to grow rapidly. Providing conveniences of accessibilities, traffic volume plying on LDP has grown tremendously, especially at its non-tolled sections. Currently, about one (1) million vehicle trips a day ply the non-tolled section on LDP within Petaling Jaya areas whereas 400,000 ply the non-tolled section in Puchong areas.
In managing and continuously improving services to its users, LITRAK has to-date spent and fully funded approximately RM1 billion of enhancement works on LDP, without any extension of concession period or toll compensation resulting from this additional expenditures.
Project LDP 5 costing around RM 300 million, being the latest major enhancement works planned and carried out between years 2009 to 2012 is now successfully completed. This another fully funded project by LITRAK has again, successfully proven our commitment to continuously enhance our level of services on LDP.
